Our Impact

Areas of Focus
Creating Community
We make sure veteran women have easy access to the resources they’ve earned as well as a connection to other veterans for support and an ongoing community. Our 2ST Care Connection links veteran women and active servicewomen with the resources they’ve earned through their service. Whether you’re transitioning to civilian life or navigating challenging times, our dedicated 2ST Care Connectors help you access healthcare, career development, childcare and other vital support services in your area.
Gold Standard of Care
We create intentional spaces—both online and in-person—for women veterans and active servicewomen to connect, rebuild trust, and access whole health and wellbeing through our vetted and qualified Women of Valor network. Our Women of Valor retreats and digital communities bridge gaps in mental, physical, spiritual, and financial well-being, offering direct pathways to vetted resources and peer support. These approaches break isolation, cultivate psychological safety, and meet tangible caregiving needs.

Share Their Stories
Through the sharing and amplification of their personal histories of their service, we reduce stigma and isolation while uplifting the lived experiences of women veterans. Sharing their narratives not only aids healing but also builds emotional trust and reclaims public visibility. This effort educates society, fosters empathy, and inspires other women to seek the support they deserve.
Building Recognition
We created the Women of Valor symbol to establish the first globally recognized icon to identify women’s U.S. military service. It is a badge of belonging and fosters a sense of connection. The symbol counters misidentification of a woman veteran and celebrates her unique contribution and service to our nation.
When displayed by an organization, or within facilities, it is a public marker of belonging, an expression of gratitude for service, and signifies respect and safety for women veterans.
Current Impacts and Looking Forward
We’ve recognized thousands of women for their military service by participating in community, higher education, and corporate functions.
We are continuously working to expand our Women of Valor network of providers and organizations committed to women veterans.
Our women’s retreats have led some participants to want
to expand their knowledge around post traumatic growth practices. Some of these women veterans have gone through the PATHH program and have now received training to become facilitators for future Women of Valor retreats.
Goals for the future:
To double the capacity for our retreats by the end of 2026, by collaborating with additional retreat partners and training more women veterans to become facilitators.
Onboard our initial Women of Valor network providers and have them certified or begin the process of certification by the end of 2026.
Scale our outreach to servicewomen through various avenues that include participation in new shows and events, increasing our social media and marketing endeavors, and continuing to grow and develop our Women of Valor network.
